Few of the Surgeons specialised in Urology who were also members of Association of Surgeons of India formed Urology Association, Calcutta, the predecessor of Bengal Urological Society conducted its first conference in IPGME&R on 20 and 21 August, 1965. On this eve, the first book was published during the first conference of Calcutta Urology Association, which hosted the Regional Urology Meeting (1965). It was memorable event when specialized surgeons presented their papers on Urology.
